I purchased 2 of these and the same adjustment piece broke. The part that adjusts the pedal height and mallet distance stripped on one and cracked open on the other. I see other people on here with the same problems. The newest one is only about 6 months old! I thought the first one was may have been a fluke but it turned out to just be a bad designed part. SO don't believe the high rating. Take it from someone who already sunk money in to two of them.....

Bought this pedal about a year ago, and used it every once in a while to put drum tracks on my home recordings. After the equivalent of about two months of an actual drummers use, the piece that controls the travel of the mallet head (the peice attached to the chain) stripped and was unable to be tightened.

I've heard about this pedal alot of times and decided to try it and it did not break my bank which I love but it's not made for metal music I would recommend gibraltar intruder and avenger for metal playing or axis, trick, or pearl demon drive for metal music, don't expect great things from this pedal.
