A good idea but...

I needed a shelf on my mic stand and thought this would be perfect...and it should be. The manufacturer did not make the attachment collar wide enough for a standard mic stand. It was off by close to an 1/8 of an inch. So instead of complaining and returning the item I got out my die grinder and files til it fit...but it was a waste of 30 minutes of my time. Hopefully the next person who buys one will have better luck, but I doubt it.
