First of all, Heavy Duty barely describes it. This stand is easily the strongest most stable "X" style keyboard stand I've ever seen.

For those who are tired of not having TRUE flexibility in their second tier, this one solves that problem. Finally a stand where you can raise or, more importantly to me, lower the second tier to a height where YOU want it, not where the manufacturer thinks it should be. Also you can adjust the 2nd tier to bring the keyboard closer or push it farther away, your choice. Most "X" stands allow you to angle your second tier but the Ultimate stand I used before this does not. THIS stand allows you to angle the second tier to a comfortable position for YOUR use.

There are a couple of drawbacks. Straight out of the box, several of the plastic tighteners were not finished well with sharp points sticking out making it difficult to tighten. I had to get a small file and knock these off myself to keep from getting cut.

In addition this stand is not easy to set up and tear down. I'm hopeful that it will get easier with time but it is bulky and much heavier than most stands available.

That having been said, this is definitely the sturdiest, strongest keyboard stand I've owned in 30 years of performance and offers the most flexibility in a second tier of any stand I've found on the market. Though bulky, it is exceptionally stable and flexible.
