Perfect compact studio!

I was previously using some folding tables, saw horses, keyboard stands, and homemade racks to hold my studio together. It looked terrible, and was not easy to work with. Also took up way too much room. After looking into all the options, I decided this would be a good bet. I wanted metal, as I know most particleboard furniture tends to fall apart over time. The modular nature of this makes it configurable to my needs. Wheels make rewiring the back very easy. It's solidly built from heavy gauge metal. The accessories are a bit hard to find, but well worth tracking down. Note that the computer keyboard tray makes it hard to get your chair up to a comfortable synth playing height, but it's not a big deal. My studio is more usable than ever, takes up far less room, and looks wonderful! I would recommend this to anyone with a small project studio.

I didn't get all parts to this product. Buyers beware. Didn't receive monitor holder, rack space modem shelf or the keyboard and mouse holder. Instructions show no extra parts either. When you buy this product, you will only get the frame, desk and speaker holders. Not worth it.

On paper, this looks like a great product. I've had much experience with Quiklok merchandise and needed a desk, so I thought this would be the way to go. Being able to add and subract various modules as you need them is a great idea. The problem lies with the quality of the unit itself; it simply does not match up with other Quiklok products I've used. The desk itself is fine, but the other components do not live up to expectations. As an example, I ordered the optional casters to install on the unit and it was nearly impossible to install them. The documentation is very poor. The desk and components are also painfully expensive. Do yourself a favor and buy a Studio RTA instead. Better quality for less money is what you'll get.
