Besides being wider than many traditional guitar straps, the Ralph Marlins seem to hold up well. I've had mine 18 months or longer and they're in great shape. The patterns are also unique with nice variation of themes, not the typical World, USA, or Goth look so many straps stick you with. Quality is average but for guitar has held up fine. I use a bass with one of these straps as well and have not had the unfortunate experience that the other reviewer has.

This strap fell off my bass every 5 minutes for the entire time I had it. Then it broke off on the end attached to the back end of my bass.
