Remo's popular Pinstripe heads are made from 2 plies of Remo clear film and bonded at the collar to dampen both high overtones and overall resonance. The result is a very focused, low-pitched sound with moderate attack and response characteristics that is ideal for creating a deeper, fatter, controlled drum sound in a variety of studio and live drumming situations.

I've been using Pins since I guess the late 80s, and they tune up nice with very little work. Having good shells helps, (I have maple on an old set of Slingerlands and birch on my Yamahas) and ya gotta know what youre doing. Run the right resonant head on the bottom of the toms (Remo clear resonants seem to work well) and tune each head to the same pitch top & bottom....very light lug tuning (other words, dont crank 'em down you guys!) and tune the resonant head to the same pitch as your batter. They'll have to be retuned after about 8-12 hours of break in play, but only a little, and that should be it aside from a little tweaking.

these are the first heads i have bought for my pearl vision kit, the stock protones dented in the first night of of me playing them, but anyway, ive had these heads for about 4 weeks now and they sounded pretty good up until recently, my 12 inch tom has this weird vibrating sound and yes i have tried tuning it plenty of times,in fact the first ply of the head tore letting the weird stuff inbetween the layers leak out, and as for my floor i never got it to sound right, i would say look for different heads cuz these didnt last very long for me

ive heard that these suck on lower toms, but to me, they produce the sound they say they're supposed to make only on my snare(which is coated)and on my 16". My 12 and 13 sound better than before, but that's cuz ive been using the drum heads that came with a cheap set for 7 years...and i really don't see that it muffles them that much, but overall i like em

i have these heads on all of my toms (12' 16' 18') and they deliver a great punchy sound to my set. I've never used any other heads on my toms that i like better. they are priced very well too, very affordable.
