This is an average pack. The toms ring a lot. If you put a ring on them, they should sound nice. The snare head however, is not good at all. It does not tighten that much on a wooden snare. It does not give you a good clack sound like you want. Also, the pinstripes are a bit hard to tune and tend to rattle(which goes on and of when it wants to and can not be fixed tuning wize)for no appearant reason. Remo does make good snare heads, just this one. I recomed getting a remo ambassador coated head for snare, and aquarian performance 2 for te toms.

Alright, the pinstripes are awesome. Everything about them I find to be excellent. For some reason, the included "emperor x" snare head never really did the job. I know how to tune a snare, but for some reason, it never sounded good enough for performance or even practice. My advice, get the pinstripes but not the emperor x.

I got these cause I've used them on the set at school before we switched to Evans Genera Coated, I've got to say, when I first opened the package I was blown away just by how good they looked. They looked even better after I put them on my kit, but looks aren't everything, they've gotta sound good and these babies do! Thet tuned fairly easily and sound great. I liked them much better after I put resonant heads on, but I probably wouldnt mind not having resonant heads though. The only complaint I have is the snare head has some wicked overtones, but they could easily be taken care of with a studio ring or something, I can't really put down that head though cause i put it on my crap snare that i never use so it might sound better on something good. Still, next time I buy heads it'll probably be these. I recomend them!

Ive had these same heads on my Tama set for about 2 years, and ive only had a few problems with them.... only my floor and low tom had a slice in them... but the coated snare lets you beat the crap out of it and still keep it intact, people always play around on them and they still seem to hold out on the really hard hitters...overall there very durable

THis is a good buy over all. The tom heads sound great. The reason I put the features as 4.5 is because the snare sounds like CRAP!! It sounds too much like a tom and lacks tht pop tht a good snare head should help deliver. Replace it with an evans genera and youll be well set!
