I had a Remo Pinstripe before this and it was decent. It felt decent to play with my DW 5000 Accelerator pedals but when I bought my 2nd bass drum I decided to try something else so I gave the Powerstroke 3's a shot and wow!! I wish I went w/this head right away and never even bother with the Pinstripe before this. My bass drums now sound so much deeper. I have 22" bass drums and they sound bigger adn deeper with these heads. Great Sound!!

I bought this to replace the stock head on a Pulse 22" Bass Drum. I thought it sucked at first, but then I loosed it up a bit and WOW! MUCH better sounding than I thought such a cheap bass drum (and head) could sound.

I have used this head on my Premier Artists Birch kit for over six months now and either playing live or recording its fantastic. I haven’t tried any other as I get the sound I want. Give it a go you won’t regret it.

The Powerstroke 3 is the standard for a good rock and pop bass drumsound. Period! No matter if you go for the attack of the clear head or the more fullness of the coated one, this head will always give you a good sound tuned low to medium for rock and pop! I have the clear now on my practice kit Pearl Export and its tuned just above wrinkles for a loose and wet sound.My Export bass sounds now like a professional drum. This in combination with a Powerstroke 3 black resonant,and your bassdrumsound will increase. Unmiked it has a great attack and miked it will give you it's bassdrums true dimension. Recommended!

This is an amazing drumhead, it's that simple. It makes my kickdrum a lot louder than what it was, and is giving in a great sound, and so far it seems very durable. Not sure what else you could want from a kickdrum head.
