These heads DO cut out the high pitched overtones, but the midrange tones are horrible. Very little attack, but they are warm. They also sound like crap when recording. I'm going back to clear pinstripes, Sharp attack with warm overtones.

High quality heads. I just got these a month ago and WOW. They were exactly what I was looking for, nice thick no overtone heads. The toms have a good "thud" sound when tuned right and the snare is probably the best. It is very snappy and crisp nice and thick. If you are smart you will try these out. BUY THESE!!!!

I saw that Adrian Erlandsson from Cradle Of Filth used this same set up for his heads so I figured they would be good. And I found out that they are too. These definitely put a better sound on your drums. I highly suggest them. And the Emperors are whiter than the picture shows, just so you know.

I have a bottom of the line Sonor kit-Have been looking for a good drum head to make them sound thicker. These did the trick! I would recommend them to anyone with thin drums!

I replace my heads every two weeks, and I was getting tired of spending so much money. Found these at a local shop for cheap, and they sound just as good as the more expensive ones. One complaint, the snare head is pretty bad, I just throw it out and use an aquarian power dot snare head.
