wow i was surprised that this was good i just bought it the other day and i was blown away about how fast and good it gets the job done i would recommend this over the evans torque key anyday

I've just bought this key and its absolutely worthless. The wheel is confusing to use...no clear directions on how to set the tension. I set it at one (the lowest tension) to try it out and it wouldn't click after 3 or 4 turns. Even when I figured out how to set the dial and got the clicker to work correctly, the lugs were all at different tension anyway. Absolute dissapointment. It was faster for me to tune by ear than to use this worthless key.

This seems to be a very diecent drum key/tuner, I have tuned my kit once with it and the overall sound and pitch of the toms sounds right. If you like to tune your toms low then don't use the same # on the key to do your snare. I belive the price is a little much for this item, other than that it is nice!!

I found this drum key difficult to use. Very hard to see numbers on dial plus the dial does not turn easily. It actually broke after 4 uses. My advice is to look elsewhere or rely on your ear.

I wanted a torque key just to speed up the tuning process on a new kit. Settling for this in stead of the Evans key I wanted (I didn't want to wait for delivery), I tried to have at it. First setting the settings was confusing (Do you tune off the red dot or some other way... no directions there). Then if you tried to tune it up a notch, it would say it was tuned. it didn't tune evenly (I expected some varience but It would say tuned and there would be wrinkles in my skins). Then after three drums (Tops and bottoms) THE DAMN THING BROKE. Get the Evans key or a dial...
