I was sold when I heard the B3 sounds. There is no latency as others had suggested. Easy set up, a little costly. I use it constantly thru a Zoom 16 track. I have a problem removing my head phones and letting it go till the next session..it's too much fun!!!

GR20 with GK3

I bought a GK3 attached to a left handed Epiphone Les paul standard guitar and am using it with the GR20. I got the retailer to install the GK3 and it works out really well. I use it with a Roland 30(cube). All the sounds are quite authentic though I don't get much sustain on the Grand Piano sound. The strings are outstanding. I have some problems with the ethnic sounds as the mixed ones ( sitar+voice+tabla) works in a funny way. I can hardly hear the sitar and the vox dominates. I find it only worthwhile if mixed in with the regular guitar sound. This mixing also works well on the bass guitar options. Still experimenting and the possibilites are immense. Certainly a good buy.

Trying for that late 80s GD Sound

Being a huge Grateful Dead fan, I was hoping to be able to get some of the sounds that Jerry and the boys would create during the "space" portion of their concerts. I bought a MexiStrat to install the system to and it works ok. There are extensive instructions, and reading through them helps substantially, but maybe I was expecting more. I could not have been more excited about getting this, but the end result is a slight letdown.

GK3 Does the job on Strats

I own 15 guitars. I found out that my Fender Strat was the best fit for this device. I screwed the pickup down and that did the trick nicely. I didn't bother with double-sided tape, as if I ever wanted to return my U.S. Strat back to original, I would only have to replace the plastic pickguard piece since it had two small holes in it. I could see that my Les Paul would have been quite a bit more of a hassle. I have been gigging with it and my GR-20 and I have had no problems, and don't want to give it up! Especially for the warm string sounds. It's like having a keyboard player without paying for one.

Wish I'd known about this thing 40yrs ago. I had a GK 2A pickup, thought I could better it with a GK 3. I learned I had to read all instruction and notes. I play through a Roland GR 30, use a FS 100, two FS 5U switches and I have controll over alot of sounds. It takes a lot of time to get it together. After installing the GK 3 had to tweak every program. Every sound level feel touch etc.has to match I wouldn't give it up ever The GK3 is not perfect but a step up,I'm sure Roland is working on improvements. Trial and error it will work
