in 76 i heard leon from climbadonkey ravens etc practicing for the nights gig in oc md i said i have a pbass too but it doesnt sound like that he turned me on to the unmistakable rotosound sound if you want the super bright sound change them every couple of gigs if you play most types of music leave them on until they get dents in the g string always my favorites for a lighter string the 40-125 are also good

Awesome strings, but not really the sound I want.

I bought these strings for my Squier Affinity Jazz Bass V. When I put them on, they had SO much growl. It was crazy. That was a month ago, and they're still growlin' away. I'll probably use these for a few more months and go back to Fender 7250's. These strings sound really cool if you're looking to sound like Geddy Lee or John Entwistle, but I'm not so much.

I expected them to really work well and get the job done and that's what they did plus more. I've tried ernie ball strings and they sounded alright but once you put rotosounds on your bass you won't be disappointed at all they had a noticeable sound difference instantly.

i got the strings because ernie ball strings always took a dump on me. so i was looking for what strings i should use and i came across a rotosound ad with chris squire on it. i checked the site and found geddy lee was also using them. 2 of my idols use them so ill give it a shot. at first they were clanky, very steely sounding, of course. but once you break them in, they make you stand out. the sound can not be duplicated.

Great feel and sound

I play in a Christian older and contemporary band and the Rotosound strings are the best I have played. I play by ear and only know what I feel and hear and these strings sound and feel great! And the sustain is very sweet! I kid around with the drummer on held endings just how long I can hold the note. These strings have really bumped up the enjoyment of playing the bass. I've played country for 15 years and Christian music 6 years. I hope Rotosound strings last longer than others but even if they last the same it won't matter as I have found my string of choice. GOD BLESS (bassdog)
