Great Strings

I purchased these strings about four months ago for my Jazz Bass. If you are looking for that trebly sound, similar to the sounds of many fantastic bass players such as John Entwistle, Jaco Pastorius, and Geddy Lee these should do the trick. Note however these strings will not give you their unique sound, as that is based almost entirely on their own innate musical brillance. One thing to take into consideration is these strings are rather rough and coarse, it may take some time to get used to them.

When I bought the Rotosound swing bass 66 strings, I was completely blown away by the superb tone and the unique "growl" they produce. They have a powerful low end, excellent mids, and a super clear highs. These stings are so good I will never switch. I play a Fender American Jazz Bass and they sound killer on it! If you want pure Rock 'n Roll, Then these are the strings for you. They have satisfied me, and will satisfy you too!

That Rotosound Sound

If you're a bass player looking for the Geddy Lee, Chris Squire, or John Entwistle sound, then you have to buy these strings. The sound is amazing, and they feel very unique compared to nickel plating. Mine "died" pretty quickly though, so that's the only negative.

I've been using the RS 66 set for years. The strings do make all the difference, your bass will sing, harmonics ring beautifully. Amazing price -- I used to pay upwards of $40 for a set and I happily did so. Here's what you do when your strings loose some of thier sound: Soak your strings in dish soap, wipe clean, restring your bass and your strings will sound almost new. Try it -- it works!

AMAZING set of strings

So I recently got a P bass replica out of my closet, and started playing bass again. The junky strings had to go, I bought a set of these thinking, if Geddy Lee uses them, why cant I give it a go. So after a short installation process, I got the strings all set up on the Slamer bass. When they were untuned, I already heard a kind of sound that I thought only expensive basses could give off. The guitar sounds like a semi-pro P bass, VERY GOOD SOUND. Might I add, the strings are tough as nails, so tough that I had to twist it 10 times to cut it when I was installing it all. So in short, dont doubt these strings, JUST DONT. Ive only been playing bass for a year, I know that my bass sucks, but to make best of it, these strings have helped save me until I get a Jazz bass. For any bass guitar, I recommend these fine strings
