Rotosound SM77's are amazing!

Reviewer's Play Style: 1970's Country Rock
I just received my Rotosound SM77 Jazz Bass Strings and installed them on a 90's fender precision standard with a new Gotoh bridge and I am very happy. I play in a country rock group along the lines of 1970’s Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and The Band. I play with my fingers only and require a clean, smooth sound. My main amp is an Ashdown Perfect Ten combo 30 watt with 10" speaker. I dial the tone controls flat. The Rotosounds have a much lighter tension than Fender flat wounds making them easier to play overall. They are slightly less smooth to the touch than the Fender flat wounds but this is pretty much negligible. If you want bass strings that are the best of both worlds between wound and flat wound these are the strings for you. I am now a Rotosound string user for life.
