i bought 2 sets of these strings. great looking string and very good price. but on both sets the 1st e string would split right after tuning them. not pleased with them.

I have used SIT strings for many years. The Hooks are the best for a Floyd Rose Trem system! I really love these acoustic sets because they really do stay in tune! I have never knocked them out of tune while playing- which is why I don't like some other brands... and the price can't be beat!

I've been using Elixir strings on my Takamine EG332C for years, and finally decided to look for cheaper strings when I started performing more. I stumbled across these, and the advertised "STAY IN TUNE" appealed to me, since I perform in 3 different tunings. I LOVE these strings! Cheap enough for me to change every gig, and sounds terrific on my Takamine. The bright sound of the strings evens out my Takamine very well, whereas the Elixirs muddled the low-end of my guitar. And, they DO stay-in-tune better than any other string I've tried. Highly recommended.

I'm abandoning Elixirs because they're too expensive for me to use. I'm performing a lot, and I burn through strings. Using two capos and alternate tunings, keeping my guitar in tune has become a nightmare. Well, the SIT strings settle really fast, and after several re-tunings de-tunings alternate-tunings, they settle on-pitch! And, they sound good on my guitar. Elixirs are great, and I love 'em, but S.I.T. has me sold. Until I can pick up Elixir packs as cheaply as S.I.T., I'm staying with S.I.T.
