I had a bad experience with another case manufacturer and began to seriously look at SKB. I had gone for price and got stung by the other guy. I called the company and was connected with the National Sales Manager who talked to me and answered all my questions. Add this type of customer service to a great product and you have a great deal that won't leave you hanging. This case is great, the customer service is great. Very highly recommended.

This case is the best case bar none. I travel via plane and van four days out of each week and always bring my Guitar. This will protect your instrument and is well worth the price. Close it when you are not using it.

I've had this case for almost two years now. I have had nothing to complain about. I have an SKB case for my strat as well; both are amazing. The reviews I have read for SKB cases are amazing. A guitar is indestructable in one of these. I've dropped my acoustic while in this case and both were unscathed. When I first bought this case, I put my guitar in it and purposely dropped it in the ground - nothing.

My only complaints have me to blame. I had my case open and I must have put some weight on or bumped the top part and the piece of fabric that keeps the top from folding all the way back broke from the bottom. I just had to put in some nice glues and all was fine. But, When it was drying, my case fell off the workbench while it was open and although the case can still close, the two piece are now out of alignment.

Just try not to be like me and drop it while its open. Great case though. Trust me, this is the case you want for your dreadnought. Buy this crap, yo.

Great Case... Weak Plastic Latches

This is a great case all around. You can tell that great thought has been put into this case at every detail except for one thing... the latches. They look great and are smooth, BUT be careful you don't leave it open and accidentally hit the end of it! Because it is so long (1.5-2 inches) and it's plastic, any impact on the end of an open latch (even slight) will cause it to break off the case. I did that with minimal impact and it cracked. The latches are made to be replaced, but you'll have to bend the foam back to gain access to the screws and the case will never be quite the same again. I wish I would have saved the money and bought the economy model. Since I keep my guitar in its case when I'm not playing it, I open and close the latches A LOT so the latches are important. Everything else about the case is so well thought out except for these plastic latches that don't seem built to last. If this case had smaller metal latches, it would be the "perfect case."

I have several guitar cases, but this one is head and shoulders above the rest. The latches are wonderful and the inside is just great. I travel weekly and needed a more durable case than what my marin, seagull, and taylor came with. I highly recommend this case for anyone who travels with their guitars a lot.
