I've been playing drums for 11 years or so. Recently I finally broke down and bought SKB Cases for all of my drums (including the fine cymbal vault). After buying them, I joined a new band that plays out a minimum of 2 times a week plus practice, recording, working all week with my drums in my car, etc. These were by far the best investment I have ever made. My old drumkits would wear out far before their time but the Pearl I'm on now has lasted longer than I ever would have imagined!

This is the best investment that you can make! With as much money that you put into a whole set of cymbals for you kit, why not shell out the money for this amazing case? Personally, I don't want to crack or dent any of my cymbals from having them in a padded case. This SKB case holds them firmly, and with the padding spacers it keeps them off of each other (unless you have more cymbals than the spacers allow which I do), and even then they are secure and won't fall around everywhere. With the lifetime warranty that SKB has, it doesn't matter what happens to it they will gladly send you a new one if yours gets broken in any way (which I can't see happening). I have 100% confidence that my cymbals will not get damaged in any way when they are secured in this case.

SKB makes the best cases for EVERYTHING. I have about $1000 worth of cymbals in my case, and I have complete faith that my cymbals will get broken, not when my guitarist's amp slides over and crushes them. This case could probably take a hit with a sledge, a car running over it, terrorism, any kind of force except fire/water damage. For once, my cymbals are actually safer sliding around in the back of the truck with the other equipment than being on the cymbal stands. Buy one! with the money you save on broken cymbals, you can buy more cymbals.

The money spent on SKB cases is WELL WORTH IT if you own expensive cymbals and drum gear/drums. These cases are built rock solid! Personally this is the only brand I would ever own again, and they offer a lifetime warranty!!!

This case is excellent. If you are worried about taking your cymbals around, worry no more. There are a couple of things you should know before you buy. First, it does get a bit heavy after you fill it up, so if you are willing to spend the extra money on the rolling case it will make carrying it a bit easier.. Next, you do have to take the thing out of the top hi-hat cymbal in order to put it in the case, but there is a pouch to put it in. Otherwise, it is fantastic and it is extremely durable. You can throw it around the room without anything inside getting damaged.
