Rugged case, but....

When this SKB-FB4 case arrived, it appeared rugged and my Jazz fit inside fairly snugly. It is specified for J or P basses, but they are shaped a bit differently as we know, none the less the J sits in there nice and comfy with lots of suppport. Once I put my instrument in the case, I closed it up, grabbed the handle and lifted and.....handle broke letting the case with my '70 Jazz inside fall to the floor. Luckily, the case did its job and the bass was intact. Handle appears to me to be a design prone to breakage. Sure, they can be replaced, but for the money you're spending, should not have to. Suggest the Fender/SKB case instead. It's a little cheaper, in fact.

This is an outstanding case for both storage and transportation of a bass. I purchased one for my son's Squire by Fender Standard Jazz bass, and it fits it like a glove. It would also fit a Fender Jazz Bass perfectly. The internal cushioning is top-of-the-line, and the outside is sturdy. If you value your bass, (and like to take good care of your instruments) give it the protection it deserves. This case is a great choice.

The case was in good nick, no marks, and the interior makes you want to crawl inside and catch some zzz's!

This case was featured on the Fender website so I figured I couldn't go wrong. Well my Jag fits, but not like a glove. After closer inspection, this baby would glove a P or J, but the Jag's lines don't match exactly. No worries tho, she fits nice enuf, and the case hold her gentle yet snuggly. I'd recommend this to anyone who really loves their instrument...check that...want's to protect their investment!

I bought one for my Fender Standard Jazz and it fits like a glove absolutely perfect, it came in perfect condition. I have had this case dropped several times and the bass didn't even loose its tuning. I'm getting ready to buy one for my Fender Standard Precision,on of the best cases on the market today.

How can one go wrong? Just look at the SKB customer service policy. I found a sweet Fender Precision Highway One Bass in Wichita Falls, Texas. After the initial one on one time, and intense negotations, a top o' the line case was required. The SKB case was for me . The style was another issue. After 3 days of product reviews and space considerations, the SKB-FB4 was the choice. The well packaged case arrived today via the Brown Truck. The Fender P-Bass fits like a glove! The4 quality of this case is A-PLUS. Not a blem on it! I did look at the SKB complete line and I believe this is THE BEST CHOICE ! Great Job SKB.
