First, let me say I've not used this product yet - just some comments on build quality:

-The unit has a decent weight about it with the battery connected. -Despite this, the unit kind of feels flimsy. The On/Off and function switches on the back feel a little loose and I can imagine them getting hammered into the case or cockeyed (should not be a problem if this is for home use). -The unit has 4 little feet on the bottom, similar to most electronic things, but the feet are not rubberized! It slides all over my desk! I'd rather have stick-on rubber pads than raised plastic feet. - Biggest complaint: The 9V battery compartment is incredibly tight. With the battery connected and crammed in the slot, I've not yet figured out how to put the battery cover back on. The width of the battery and wires combined seems to be too much for the lid to contain.

I'm excited to use this tuner as it should do everything i need (and do it well!), but I was a bit disillusioned when I got it in my hands.

I have had this tuner for many years and still have yet to have a problem with it. Like the other reviews said, it is the only tuner that picks up my low B. I Love IT!!!

I have the ST-1000. Had it for about 20 yrs, still works great. Left/lost it in a closet for a year and the battery still works. My brother started playing him and I bought im this one (stx1100). It's as great as my old one. Some good things never change.

I have owned a Sabine for 20 yrs, and it has performed without fail. It is the most accurate tuner for bass that I have tried (and I've tried plenty). It is one of the first to work with the low "B" on a 5 string. The LED's blink from fast to slow as you get the right note, and it is very fast and smooth, and easy to use on a dark stage.

Only issue is the battery cover!

I have always found this little tuner to be fast and very easy to use, particularly onstage. Some tuners might be more accurate, I don't know. All I know is for some reason it speeds up my tuning and I sound in tune when I'm done. I'm very picky too. On stage it just finds the note right away and I'm not sure exactly what about it makes it so easy, but it seems like it smooths it out or something. It's not so jumpy as other tuners.
