i've been playing guitar for 10 years and these strings are by FAR the best i have come across, the high tension trbles give a crisp sound and the bass is rich, combine these with a half decent guitar and you will have one beautiful sound. Far supasses D'dario and other manufacturers i have used. ( I play fingerstyle pieces i.e. classical gas etc...)

I have tried many of the Savarez sets. ALL of them are great in some way. There are so many to choose from; I suggest you start trying a set and take notes. Keep trying different sets because somewhere along the line, one of their sets will work magic for your tone and playability. I am serious about taking notes because you will become addicted to these strings. The only caveats to date? The 520J Yellow Card set is a bit too elastic for me. They (wound strings) tend to keep stretching but play well while set. They also started to fret planish early which makes it the least durable so far. The S540J set is amazing. Nice stiff strings that stay tuned and maintain quality for seemingly forever. No typical fourth string failures, even with high pitched, alternate tunings. These strings TRANSFORMED the sound of my inexpensive, plywood Yamaha. They are special and worth the price. You will get atleast what you payed for in the improvement these strings may provide. The Corum Alliance 500AJ is also superb... but do keep notes! I did have one sudden catastrophic snap of a high dollar fourth string. It was at mid length so I suspect either a rare flaw or perhaps I damaged the string earlier... still worth every penny, either way. These are MY strings of choice after thirty plus years of playing.

I have tried a lot of strings for mi guitar (classical) and I was never completely satisfied with the sound I got, also in savarez strings, but this one (CORUM) is the best sound I have never get in my guitar, it's the closer sound I’ve ever been to a flamenco guitar. It worth it everything. The only thing I didn't like was the lifetime, it was shorter then the others, but as I said, the sound worth it all.
