Alright these pickups are just hot. I have em in my epiphone les paul standard which makes the guitar sounds soooo much better. I run the les paul through a crybaby wah into my line 6 spider 3 30 watt. If your debating between these and another set get these there Just Awesome!

I put this set in a faded gibson SG.They sound much better than the stock 490s. I work on guitars at two local music stores. I have installed many picks-ups, these are smooth and mellow, clean and pestine and can get down and nasty. A very well balanced set of humbuckers. Will do great covering any style of music.....ANY!!!.One little tip for the do it youselfers, use a soldering iron! Not a soldering gun! ( you can demagnitize the pick-ups with the solder gun.) A good investment that will make any guitar very happy. rock on!!!!

I got these from MF about a year or so ago. Had them installed in a Epi Dot. That combined with a pro set up and bone nut has given me one sweet playing and sounding guitar. I have played it daily since then and still love its sound. Jazzy to Country Twang it covers it for me.

Professional sound for all

After soldering the pickups in my SG Epiphone, I plugged it in my Pandora, dialled a clean sound and I was immediately struck that I had the sound of the arpeggio in "When the smoke is going down", from Scorpions (with the selector switch in the middle position).

Then I went on Youtube, listened to that tune, and I got back to my guitar to plug it into my amp, an unexpensive combo, but a very good one that I bought only after trying many others and reading many reviews over several months. Well, I did have the same sound as in the Scorpions song; a much more experienced musician confirmed it. Through the amp's overdrive and through my pedals' overdrive and distortion, the sound is just as brillant.

These pickups give you a very professional sound, even if you have amateur gear. They also make the guitar pots perform much better. I thought I would have to replace them but they were fine, only the inferior stock pickups made the pot variations too abrupt. The ideal sound made me feel a better player and made me play more. Success.
