Like its big brother, this little savage combines a big, open sound with just a subtle hint of glass in a direct replacement humbucker for single-coil guitars. It's a pickup that can scream and provide rich harmonics, but cleans up when backed off. The tone is big and percussive without being too harsh.

My squier obey propaganda guitar came with a duncan designed humbucker and two low quality single coils. The guitar was great on the bridge pickup, but on the neck it sounded horrible, so i bought this. It sounds ok at low volumes, but if you crank up the volume and turm up the treble it will get heavy with lots of distortion an sustain and harmonics. It made my guitar 10 times better!

Make your Strat growl....

My Strat originally came with three Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro single coils. Though I like these in the neck and middle positions, the bridge position was a little to twangy for my tastes (a good sounding pickup, just not my preference).

So... I went looking for a bridge pickup with a little more "umph" and not wanting to hack up my Koa Strat, settled on the Lil Screamin Demon.

Set aside images of 80s rock and George Lynch, this is a versitile pickup. As advertised, it has a balanced tone across all 6 strings and great clarity, even under high gain. The overall characteristics of this pickup will provide you with a pleasing humbucker sound well suited for styles ranging classic rock to metal.

It is a little pricey in comparison with Seymour Duncan's similar models but it was money well spent. I am completely pleased with this pick up and will not hesitate to install it again when I get around to buying an additional Strat.

I had it tucked into my King V model - obviously at the bridge - and at the neck I set a... well, the combination doesn't really matter, I hardly ever switch it. A truly killer tone - though as usual, make sure the replacement job is done neatly. Play LOUD and let your babe SCREAM!

I just got put the Screamin Demon in my U.S. Strat and its definitely change the sound. I use a Roland bc30. The best thing: I punch the output way up on my guitar and I get no hum. perfect for metal style playing. It has a bright clean sound and a good sustain when soloing.

Man, I got this pickup on the advice from a friend and thank god I listened. I needed something to beef-up the sound on my mexican strat. I threw this in the bridge and it is now my favorite guitar. This baby sounds like a thousand bucks. I don't know how it sounds in other guitars but if you want to get rid of the hum and make your Mexican Strat scream, then this is the pickup for you.
