I had to replace a dead bridge soapbar pickup on my Ibanez Jetking. After searching in vain for an identical replacement I settled for this. I wasn't sure if it would fit or not, but it did. It was 100% improvement in sound over the original and sounded very good with the Ibanez neck pickup. You can further modify your sound by changing the pots according to the directions.

Much better sound than stock p-90 for rock & blues

I bought these pickups to replace the stocks in my 2001 Gibson SG Classic. They are much hotter than the originals. One misconception is that these are noisy period. I have found they are quite "quiet" using a clean tube amp. Using distortion, is a different story. They are single coils, so there is not much you can do about it using either the neck or bridge alone with distortion. But one of the coils is reverse wound so in the middle position, it is quiet. I am thinking of replacing the stock P-100's in my Les Paul Special with these. The only thing the P-100's have on these is that they are always quiet. Somehow, Gibson lost the P-90 sound in their P-100's. The P-100's have no bite. Overall, these are great replacement pickups for stock P-90's if you play hard rock, blues or punk.
