By stacking 2 coils with extra windings around a bar magnet, the output is boosted without altering the pure single-coil sound. You get a hotter, brighter sound with more emphasis on the midrange and greater sustain. Bridge pickup with 4-conductor cable. Humbucking.

This is the strongest, clearest pickup I have in ANY guitar, brighter than any humbucker, and just as quiet. I have a lil' 59 in my other tele and the STK has a richer tone by 10% or so. A brighter, bassier, higher output. Not much crunch due to the Anico5 (not ceramic), so it has an amazing "clean" tone -- then it can go all the way up to full-on overdrive with a good pedal or high gain amp. Zowie! Very well-rounded pickup that would be useful to almost any Tele player of any style. Beware it is going to be louder/more intense than your current PU so your amp settings will probably need adjustment & your neck PU may be out-gunned...! Over 21k resistance?? Scorching. THE most powerful Tele PU I have found.

BEST PICKUP FOR THE TELE EVER!!!!!!

I recently just bought a Fender Standar Telecaster (Mexican made), and even with the stock pickup, it was the best most versatile guitar Ive ever played. But I needed something a bit hotter, yet still clean. I almost bought a Hot Rails pickups because I have one of those in my Strat and it has a nice thick ballsy tone to it, but since it was strictly a humbucker, I needed something that I change of from humbucking to single coil tone.

Well then a friend of mine recommended me to go buy a Hot Stack. He said it sound WAAYY better than the hot rails. I saw it and it said it was still a single coil but it was noiseless and has hotter output, which was pretty much what Im looking for.

Well I bought the Hot Stack, had it installed at my local music store, took it home, and plugged it in, and I WAS BLOWN AWAY.

This pickup is smoking!! Even with the tone knob all the way up, its still heavy and thick enough for my bands music and with a nice single bite which I love because I have certain songs that need the twang without completely changing to another guitar. I turn the tone knob down a bit, and its full on humbucker sound. and because its a single coil w/ a hotter output, its much MUCH cleaner and clearer, both clean and overdrive, than any other humbucker or Hot Rail. And it has a better midrange which means way better tone. The Hot Rail has some good mids to, but its a bit more scooped mids and is a tad bit muddier (the Hot Rail is actually very clean and pristine, its just the Hot Stack is better haha).

Basically if you are a Telecaster-bareing guitarist who plays post hardcore, Indie Rock, Experimental Rock, Classic Rock, Blues, and other types of Heavy Rock, Id choose this immediately before the Hot Rails, completely.

Either way, AMAZING PICKUP! No doubt. Get it. Rocknroll

i bought this pick-up for my 98' custom Tele and wow it was exactly what i was looking for. I had originally had the texas specials which are rich in presence and a very nice pickup. Only problem was the noise. I needed somthing with hum cancleation and this pickup is silent. I like this over the hot rails because the best tone is in the midrange and this pickup dosn't loose the bite of a single coil but it also warms it up a bit which really makes it like a P-90, it';s great sound for a Telecaster! the hot rails is for more of a scopped tone and theres no midrange at all so if you want somthing warmer than a single coil but without loosing the bite, look no further. my tone consists of overdrives and delays kind of like a U2 sound and wow it's just an all-out balenced tone without the noise.
