Genius remake of a classic

I got this set into a strat between a tele-style stk (neck) and a hot rails (bridge) so that I could get a very vintage and bluesy feel to my tone. Jackpot plus some.

Yes, this thing has all of the quck like the duckbucker. Yes, this thing works well with clean and high gain pickups and balances out extremly well in the notch positions.

But let me also note that this thing can get very THICK on tone too. Great for undertones/mixing and perfect for single handling everything short of metal. But this thing is also incredible for booming rythms too. Adds soooo much substance to the glassy tones of my stk in my neck and has an incredible punch when mixed with my hot rails.

If anything, I definitely feel like this is the pickup that sets my strat aprt from the rest. This thing is full of personality.

i have the svr-1 on a strat 2 strat style guitars. i play blues muddy to stevie. it sounds great clean. very clear and with lots of range from high to low. through a boss bd-2 it sound great. just warm oozing tones. i will probably do much more but this is what i play. you would never guess it is a humbucker. much better than the little 59. i have it in the neck positon on both guitars.

I had an American Stat Fender Deluxe with noiseless picks. I replaced the original pups with an SVR-1 in the Bridge and Middle positions with a Cool rail in the neck. This was the best purchase I've ever made of any kind. I love these pups and the sound improvement is absolutely great. Better sound has made me a better player and really opened the guitar up.

This pickup is one of the best ive heard as far as strat pickups go! I have a cheapy Squier Stratocaster, and when I put this baby in the middle with the Hot Rails in the bridge, all I can say is WOW!!!!!!! Only problem is that the hot rails is very high output, so dont count on being able to switch beetween pickups in the middle of a performance. Its almost like going from a 10 to an 8 in volume when you switch beetween the hot rails and the vintage rails. Nevertheless, this pickup is awesome. good clean tones (though they are way thicker than the singles on most strats) and distorted tones that would peel the skin of your bones with the right pedal!

i have a cool rails in the neck, vintage rails in the mid and hot rails in the bridge. (in a strat) i love them all. i notice that i play the mid pup the most. this mixed with a cool rails in the neck is really great. it's as warm as could be. great for noodling blues.
