Bought this for my Gibson F9 for gigs (in a country/rock band) and got tired of mic'ing. It was a breeze to install and adjust the bridge height (just a matter of putting on new strings). I like that I did not have to make any holes in the ol'gal to install this. I've been performing with this for at least two gigs a week for the last year and have had no problems whatsoever.

I tried to use this Shadow Arch Top Mandolin Bridge on an old Silvertone mandolin. I think my mandolin's bridge is unusually short--not by much, but enough that it matters (note that they don't give any dimensions of this bridge). The electric bridge, even set to its lowest, still left me with ridiculously high action that caused any fretting above the 2nd to make the tone too sharp. I figured I could potentially sand down the wooden part (it would need a lot of sanding), but before I went to the effort, I tried putting the pickup on the strings of a guitar just to see how it would come through an amp. The sound was quiet and tinny. I'll be boxing this back up and sending it back.
