The Shredneck Practice Guitar Neck features a rosewood fingerboard, inlays, strap knobs, side dots on both sides, Shredneck tuner tips, and a gig bag.
The Shredneck is a small, portable practice tool for guitarists that provides the feel of a guitar, strings and frets. The headstock doubles as the body to provide a balanced feel.
Allows guitar players to warm up anytime a guitar is not convenient—in a car, train, plane, at the office, before gigs, between sets, watching TV or in anticipation of playing guitar. Use the Shredneck to work on scales, patterns and techniques, practice chord fingerings and movements along with building and maintaining calluses. The practice neck is modeled after the first seven frets of a standard electric guitar and is useful for acoustic guitar players.
While the Shredneck is strung for right-handed guitarists, it can be easily converted for left-handed players.

Shredneck works

I've had a shredneck for over a year now and have found it to be an extremely useful warm up tool. I took me a few days to get over the fact that I couldn't tune it, but its not about tuning, its about tension. The shredneck helps me keep my fingers limber. Period. Lots of people say that its small and that you should just play your guitar instead. Go ahead, I'm sure the people next to you on the plane will appreciate your flying V. Or, when in the car, roll the window down so your guitar neck sticks out of the car. SHREDNECK is for when you can't use your guitar. At work, on a plane, stuck in traffic or whatever. Its to keep your fingers limber. Its not a ukulele. It is a tool for warming up your fingers. And a darn good one at that.

I have owned the Shredneck for over a year and granted it does warm your fingers up but what they dont mention is that it doesnt make any noise, therefore if you are practicing tapping you cant even hear if you are doing it right or not, you just have to trust that you are. Also you cant play this thing, you can only manuver on it with one hand, making it hard to 'work on your technique' its also boring to practice scales and chords on because, again, it doesnt make noise. the tuning pegs arent for tuning they are for adjusting the string tension Also the neck if made from really cheap wood. if it did what it leads you to believe it does then it would be more than great. I vote just play your guitar because i rarely use this thing due to the MAJOR limiations.

I got this for x-mas last year and ive been using it since. it doesnt take the place of a real guitar but is excellent for practising when space and noise is an issue. I use it the most on my lunch breaks at work and while stuck in traffic on the way home. It sucks for chords or practising picking but my finger strengh has increased quite dramatically. Plus it keeps you warmed up all day if you use it throughout so that when I can finally get home to play my guitar im already warmed up and able to shred! Its also great for practicing while sitting around with friends or watching tv with others since there is almost no noise when fingering.

This is a great piece of gear for plane or car travel. It is great for practicing scales but isn't designed to be played. I usually just use hammer ons when I use it. I hated it at first but I appreciate it more now.

I recently buyed this SHREDNECK, and i'ts really a piece of crap, it doesn't sounds neither stays in tune because it's shorter scale makes him imposible to play or to tune. My biggest dissapointment was that is horrible for picking, I was hoping only it could be fine for picking exercise but it sucks! For legato is pretty good and comfortable, if you have some years playing guitar, it can be handy, but not for practice replacement, it's only for situations that it's IMPOSSIBLE to have a guitar, like a bus, or a subway, in a car, but for traveling I definetly recommend the Lapstick, or get your guitar. Please, try it before spending money on this, cause it's not what you think.
