The completely reversible Shure A95UF Impedance Matching Transformer matches low-impedance microphones to high-impedance inputs or high-impedance microphones to low-impedance inputs. The transformer permits use of very long microphone cables with either low-impedance or high-impedance microphones. The only requirement is to limit the cable to 4.6m (15') between the high-impedance end of the transformer and the low-impedance microphone or microphone input.

The Shure A95UF transformer prevents high-frequency loss, level loss, and objectionable pickup of noise or hum. Shure furnishes the A95UF with a 3-socket professional audio connector on the low-impedance end, and both a standard 1/4" phone plug and phone jack adapter for the high impedance end.

Order several and have them in your kit for dealing with unusual impedance situations.

The advertisement for the Shure A95UF says you get both a Male and Female 1/4 inch connector for the high impedance end. Beware, after a of month of multiple tries to get both, I only received the female connector and have been told that is the only way it comes. Strangely, the advertisement has not been changed and the Shure site has the same claim that it comes with both.
