I bought the Sound Percussion Embroidered Throne based on the user reviews on MF and the fact that I didn't want to spend a ton on a seat. Save the cash for some cymbal upgrades or something. Anyway, I tried the Pork Pies, Tama Ergo Riders, and Roc N Socs at GC. They were all pretty good, especially the Roc N Socs. Then I ended up buying the SP without even sitting on it. I think this throne rates right up there with the expensive ones. It's soft and comfy, but still very supportive. I prefer the SP's cloth covering over leather or vinyl. Don't waste your money on the other overpriced thrones. Be kind to your bottom and your wallet. Sound Percussion is the way to go.

I was pleseantly surprised at the durability and quality of this throne upon receiving it. Having used much more expensive pork pie and roc-n-soc models this model holds up to all of them save the highest models for much less. The cushion feels very comfortable (im 6'3" and weigh ~235 lbs). The throne does not move or wiggle once I have it set. I can play for 2+ hours and not get a numb bottom or sore back on this throne.

Great buy!

I've been using this throne for about 6 months now and am still very happy with it. It's the best value on a really good throne I'd say. It's sturdy and well padded. I've been playing since the late 60's and like good equipment. I'd buy this again.

I got this from my girlfriend for Christmas and I've been wanting one for a while. I'm not a drummer but I play shows sitting down when I play bass or guitar. Very comfortable and doesn't wabble. I love the fold up legs and the adjustments on the seat makes it easy and it's sturdy. The seat snugs. Compared to the Rock N sock, I can see the seat has a few ridges for being more snug but for the price I'll take the SP throne any day!

This is a great throne. I've been using it for almost two years now, and I've had no problems. The only way this throne could be better is with a back rest. That would be prime. Otherwise, it's wonderful. I'm currently using it as a desk chair up at university, too, because it's considerably more comfortable than the chairs that my school provides.
