I have owned 2 Steinbergers over the past few years. I love Steinberger guitars because of how well they stay in tune. I bought these strings thinking that since they are "official" steinberger strings they would be great. I was WAY wrong. They sound very thin, they have no power to them, and they dont stay in tune AT ALL! I have giving anything this bad of a review, but every time I pick up my Stienberger it's out of tune. They are hard to find, but go with GHS Double Ball strings instead. I have not tried the D'Addario double balled strings, so I can't compare them, but I know I will never buy these "Official Steinberger Strings" again.

These strings are advertised as having a wrapped G string, and it is clearly printed on the package .017W. It is NOT a wrapped G string. I don't know if it is a mistake on the package (which is made and printed in China), but on the Steinberger website it doesn't say it is a wrapped G (it just says .017...no "W"). I mention this because I specifically ordered these strings because I prefer a wrapped G, and was sadly disappointed when I opened the package. Wrapped G strings stay in tune better for my playing style. Hopefully I can find double-ball strings with a wrapped G, made by someone else next time.
