I'm going to try keep this review short and sweet. So here it goes. This pedal is very smooth. It has no lateral "give" at all. It is also very adjustable; the possibilities are endless. My only two complaints, and they are minor, are the fact that the pedal isn't quite as quick as I'd like it to be (maybe it's just me), and the fact that when I'm playing I alternate between heel up and heel down, and do heel-toe's a lot, and those aren't the easiest things to do on this pedal.

Anybody who's ever played a heavy, lame-o, bass pedal will appreciate the speed of this. I've put this thing through absolute hell over the past year and it still holds strong. You are not wasting your money on this purchase. I recommend this pedal over any other top model that I've tried. DW rocks, so buy that if you're interested, but this one is first rate at the very least.
Great pedal

PROS:
This pedal is infinitely adjustable, and it has unlimited combinations to choose from. It's also very sturdy, it would take an elephant to break this pedal. And it's also very powerful, I was surprised at how much power I get out of it, considering I play heeldown.
CONS: Like I said, this pedal has an unlimited of possible combinations, so if you lose your preferred pedal settings it can take forever to get them back. It also plays like any other pedal, it's no faster than any other pedal I've played.

I purchased the Iron Cobra about two years ago. It has treated me very well with no break downs at all. I found That I was able to adjust this pedal right to my liking with out any troubles at all and I havent had to readjust it since. (although I have adjusted due to changes in playing style for example swithching from heals down to heals up). My teacher has a dw 9000 on his kit and after a 30 minute lesson I am longing for my iron cobra (but in dws defense I am not able to fine tune his pedal to my style)
Overall this is a very good buy it lasts long, adjusts easy and feels good

I received the Iron Cobra in the mail last week. I got it because my old pedal that came with my old set was wearing down. I also heard my favorite drummer also uses this pedal. It comes in a case and the case is nice. It also comes with a little tool/key that stores in a little hole attached to the side of the pedal.
As far as looks, the pedal looks great. As far as performance goes, I like it, but there are many different factors that can adjusted on it to fit your preference. This can be good because the pedal can sold to many people and fit their style of playing, BUT it can also be bad because it can take a while (I mean hours of time) to adjust to your liking.
I got it to work for me fairly quickly. One thing I didn't like was in the middle of my band's last song the pedal became loose and re-adjusted itself. Because of this my drumming was off, I had to adapt to it's new position within a matter of seconds. It sucked. Make sure before you play to tighten up all the nuts and bolts. I feel like I can adjust this pedal to where I really enjoy it, but the time it takes to make it work is irritating.
PROS: Fast, powerful, sturdy, great looks, highly-adjustable-makes it easy for everyone to play on it
CONS: Becomes loose during an extended amount of playing, too-adjustable-takes too long to get it right for your style
