Can't hear the bass

Just arrived today. I was under the impression that this piece of equipment would allow me to actually hear the bassline. However, it does not allow for that at all. Even with the bost, it is hard to decipher the bass lines. Very poorly made piece of equipment. I woudld not recommend.

I just received my Tascam yesterday and am really getting a lot of use out of it. I have some instructional manuals with cds that I purchased a long time ago, a lot of the examples on the cds are very fast and hard to follow. This was exactly what I needed to be able to follow all of those riffs. It is very easy to use and can really help with all of those bass lines. I only wish that there was a way to hook up a mp3 player to it, that is why I only gave it a 4.5 on 2 of the ratings.

When I recieved this unit I pulled it straight out the box using it without glancing at the manuel. Everything is very easy and self-explanitory. It does everything they say it can do. The only thing is, make sure you buy the power-supply to go with it because if your like me and play for hours batteries can get expensive. So if your looking for a good practice tool to use I recomend this unit.

After 47 yrs im finally taken up the bass, with no time for lessons and half deaf from the rock concerts of my youth I was having a hard time picking up the bass riffs from a cd. This unit allows me to slow it way down and repeat a part as often as I want. In just 4 weeks I'm jammin led zep, gnr, ac/dc and more. Would probaly have given up again if not for this unit. Highly reccomend.

Without writing all the already known good stuff about the CD-BT-2 -lets move on to what they left out. Tascam combined the mic input with the bass input. So you cant run your PC or any other source of music except for a CD into the trainer. They had a line input on the CD-BT-1 but not this model. And this limits the sources available to practice from. My external drive has at least 2,000 songs and on the CD-BT-1- it just take a cord to be able to practice. On the CD-BT-2 you have to burn a CD to practice. Not economical. If i had noticed the lack of this most important input --i would have NOT purchased this item but instead replaced my defunct CD-BT1. It is my only gripe about the unit --for me it was a deal breaker.
