I was sick and tired of breaking cheap, poorly balanced "brick sticks" and decided to buy some new pairs. I bought the 5B wood tip and what a change. I love they are a little heavier and the feel of the stick. Great quailty for the price. Would recommend to any level of drummer. Great buy!

I have now had these sticks for 6 months, with barely a chip or dent. I got 5B's from Amazon when I ordered another kick pedal for my drums. I am always hitting the sticks together. They are very nice and will last about 30 years (Actual life may vary). They look nice and are the perfect weight and get great rebound, even on crap Rock Band drums.

I've had these sticks a little over a month now, and they still have plenty of life left in them. I used to use Vic Firth 5B's, but in search of a lighter sound with the same stick size, I went against my friend's advice an went with some 5B nylons. I have yet to regret it. I love these sticks. I love the newfound crack they make on my cymbals. They have more of an accurate sound to them than the wood tips, and they have the exact sound I was looking for. My only complaints are that they are kind of pricey for a 17-year old kid with no job like me (The job market sucks) and they tend to slip out of my hands a lot. But other than that, great sticks. I'll definitely continue buying them.

I bought 12 pairs of the 85As after trying one pair of them and was amazed by how durable they were and how great they felt. Perfectly balanced, long-lasting, and looks great. I'm a heavy hitter and even after 10 songs of me pounding away, not so much as a chip came off.

Worth it.

My first set of sticks ever were the 5B wood sticks, they were okay, not the best feel for my type of music...but after those i got the Rock Nylon sticks and fell in love with them. They are relatively thick which give them a lot of power, and the nylon tips produce a great cutting ping on my ride cymbal (Paiste 20" 201) when i'm playing. Overall great sticks!
