Since listening to Dave Weckl since the mid 80's I have to thank him for most influencing my own drumming style. Using his sticks seemed like a natural evolution as well. Years ago I switched from Pro-Mark sticks to Vic Virth sticks because I found them to be much more durable. (Sorry Neal Peart.) From what I understand, Dave's technique has changed and uses the newer sticks that are slightly shorter. I perfer the slightly longer stick which seems to balance and work better in my hand.

I bought a pair of these, they looked pretty flashy and felt nince in the store on the practice pad, but everything went down hill from there, within five mins of playing(maybe just the pair I bought) one of the tips snapped off and it was a pain to replace them. The paint job is pretty cheap too, it barely has to nip the edge of a cymbal before it stats chipping off.. these arent for heavy hitters I found our in a big hurry, they do feel very wonderful to play jazz with, NOT A MULTI GENRE STICK!

Slick pair of sticks, not worth the money. Chew up real quick

I've been playing drums for over fifteen years. I've played in rock bands, church groups, theater productions, jazz ensembles, etc. These sticks are the only ones that I will use. The weight is perfect, the feel is perfect, the attack is perfect. I prefer nylon tips, but I have used the wood tip as well. I bought these the first time because I was listening to "Synergy" and Weckly just rubbed off on me. I'm not listening to much of his stuff these days, but still love the product.

These sticks get right to the point. They play great on cymbals, and have that fat tone on the toms. There is a huge attack on the snare. Recommended highly!!!!!
