I'm a beginning drummer, and the Vic Firth Harvey Mason Signature Drumsticks are the first I've purchased. The round tips have great rebound and it has a very comfortable thickness. Plus, they look simply beautiful and stand out! I've returned to purchase more sticks, and I keep finding myself back at the Harvey Mason drumsticks... they're honestly two of a kind.

I've been using this series of stick for a good 12 years and won't use any other. The sticks are relatively light and come as matched pairs so they are balanced (which is nice).

The heads are small balls which along with their lightness makes them bounce extremely well on the heads. All around awesome sticks.

My favorite thing about these is that it has one of the largest diameter shafts of the signature series, but without being heavy. I play primarily using traditional grip and thicker sticks seem to suit me better. It also has a "mini-barrel" tip that rebounds well off of cymbals. The color (red-brown) is unique, too!
