John Lennon used the original Vox Black Leather Python Guitar Strap on his Rickenbacker 325 when he played the Ed Sullivan Showfor his appearances in February 1964, then gave it to Eric Clapton during his Cream days in 1967. The original Python Guitar Strap was auctioned by Sotheby's for $4,500 in recent years. This 2" wide reproduction by Vox has 25 "armored" chrome plates riveted to the heavy leather strap. This historic guitar strap is just over 52" long fully extended.

I just received this strap today and I had to rush to let everyone know how great it actually is. This is probably the most comfortable strap I have ever seen and the fantastic looks make it a no brainer. I have a Fender John 5 Tele and as heavy as it is this strap is perfect and even matches the color chrome for chrome. The only minus on it is the price, a little steep but if you are looking for a stong strap that looks awesome you can get no better.
