I purchased this bigsby tremolo brigde piece last month and slapped it on my Gibson SG Special Faded along with a Burstbucker pro pickup it sounds amazing! True it not as versatile as a floyd rose but its pretty close! Also it give my SG a vintage look and it sounds great 5*

I coupled this with Sperzel locking tuners on my Epiphone Les Paul. When you first put on new strings it's best to bend every which way and retune a number of times to the strings get broke in until you get a fairly consistent and predictable whammy. There is a slight decrease in sustain when switching from the hardtail piece that comes with the Les Paul (barely noticeable) however, the new tone and whammy more than makes up for it. Changing strings is more difficult with this tailpiece so you have been warned. Overall I'd say the pros outweigh the cons. And yes, the holes for your old tailpiece will remain on your axe, you can minimize the look by going over them (although this won't completely cover them). But it's something to consider if you're touchy about how your axe looks.

This is a great tailpiece for any guitar. I have one on my Gibson SG and I love it. The Bigsby adds a nice vintage look and vintage twang to my guitar. My SG came with one of those cheap-looking stopbar tailpieces which I dislike, so I had a Bigsby installed and I haven't regretted it. The only complaint is that the Bigsby can put your guitar out of tune if you use it too much (a la Hendrix). The easiest way to remedy the problem is by gently pulling up on the bar slightly to put it back in tune, but if you pull too hard, you'll pull it off, so be careful. Other than that, the bigsby is a great tailpiece and gives tha guitar a vintage look.

this bigsby fits right on your sg and is small and just really cool. i would highly recomend it to anyone with an sg.

I just bought this not too long ago and i can't find a single problem w/ it. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to add a touch of class to their favorite Axe.
