I have had my Warwick Infinity SN-5 for about 4.5 years now and these are the only strings I will use anymore. Before buying this bass, I used DR Low-Riders or Dean Markley Blue Steels (in a pinch). My first string change on my Infinity, I went with the DRs and the difference in quality, responsiveness and feel was so obvious between the old Warwicks and the new DRs, I ordered new Warwick Black Labels immediately.

This string complements the Warwick perfectly. For an instrument that can get any sound, harmonic, etc. that you could want from it, you want a string that will do the same. This is that string.

I have 3 warwicks; 2 thumb 5s and an FNA 5. So these are the strings that came on them, Not to big a fan of them other than the low end is clear. These strings are outright painful to play. like sandpaper. I prefer Ken Smith burner tapercore strings 130 for the low B (can't remember the rest of the gauges) If you have a thumb neck threw check them out. I'm a fan of nickel strings so take that into consideration.

I found the tone of these strings to be extremely lacking. They don't sound near as bright as D'addario's. Also they don't have as nice a shiny finish. More importantly, they get a "warble" in them--watch the string as it vibrates. There is an ugly envelope generated for the string vibration and it is audible. Now, I play hard, but even without my using a pick they wouldn't last very long before the warble sets in. Several sets of warwick strings did this for me. (I use them on an Ibanez BTB 5-string 35".) So I would say these are definitely not worth the price.

I have been playing bass for more than 35 years. Warwick Black Labels are the best I have ever used. They are the only strings I will put on my Warwick Streamer LX!

Good Not Great

These strings are ok. They are very playable, and sound great for finger style, BUT they sound a little sloppy. If you like tapping or slapping, these strings are out of the question. They do have a cool high end, though, and they also handle detuning well. But I prefer a stiffer, more accurate string. I like DR strings personally. Good for detuning, high end, and fingerstyle with a nice loose feel. But bad for slap and tap.
