This is a great thing to have! It is designed to fit into any Yamaha bass drum bracket, or into the base (tripod) section of any Yamaha cymbal stand. It also works with other brands of hardware. The downtube diameter is 7/8", and the 3 holes also accept 7/8 tubes. All Pearl hardware and most Gibraltar stuff is 7/8" as well. So this can hold, Yamaha, Pearl or Gibraltar (and other brands) arms/mounts also, and will fit into Pearl and Gibralter brackets/stands too! Better than a multi-clamp, because the hole is a specific size, so you don't have dented shafts like you do with multi-clamps. Great stuff!

I bought a couple of the Yamaha 3 Hole reciever /holders to consolidate my hardware set up. I use them with my Yamaha cymbal holders, but I manage to fit other brand 7/8 " tom holders in the 22.2 mm holes. My set up looks cleaner and easier to set up now (at least for me).
