This is a good solid pedal that works great with my Yamaha Motif. It is smooth and dependable, and is built to last. I have to admit, I didn't even know about the "fortissimo function" until I downloaded the manual and discovered this feature. Embarrassing since I am usually a 'read the manual' type of guy.

Great volume pedal

This pedal is well built and has 30 degrees of travel which is great for organ.

Please note that the people who have been complaining about the pedal going crazy for only a few degrees, and then nothing for the rest of the way are just using an incompatible keyboard. The wiring for volume pedals between keyboard manufacturers is not standardized. You can modify the pedal to be compatible if you know how to use a soldering iron, or you can buy an adapter. I had to do this so it would work with my Nord Electro.

I am not surprised to read the comments of others stating that this pedal has VERY little travel before going ballistic. This pedal has a 50K OHM potentiometer in it. Many pedals have a 10K OHM potentiometer, (like the Kurzweil model CC1). I own this pedal and it behaves normally on my Korg, but it behaves badly, just as others have stated, on my Kurzweil. It's a very good pedal, but you have to use it on a keyboard that uses a 50K OHM pedal. GASP! Read the owner's manual! Oh No!

This pedal is very reliable according to the durability. But, a slight flinch when stepping on it can send it so loud it blow your ears. which is good for some people, but those hobbyists who play quietly in there room, its not the best for soft playing. If you wanna ROCK this is the pedal for you.

cutting thru the BS...the ratio at which this thing goes from 0 to 127 is absolutely ridiculous. you move it less that 1/4 inch and goes from 0-100 then the ENTIRE rest of the movement is from 100-127
